Leave Me My Thoughts
67dreaming
Just give me some sunshine
please not just the rain,
as I'm sitting here thinking
of things I could gain.
Not measured in gifts
of things from afar,
not even in diamonds,
or even a car.
Just hand me your dreams
and I'll give you mine.
Where our hearts can be shared
in a matter of time.
A bouquet of flowers
and a candy or two...
don't add up to much
to you sharing, just you.
We can wander the plains
in the backroads of life,
where happier thoughts
give us freedom from strife.
Lay me down in the grass
on that dew, flowered hill
to share all our wishes
for our hearts to fulfill.

Oh so beautiful.
Your emotions are pure and beautiful just like the nature.
You have beautiful words and I loved this read.
Take care and enjoy your day.
Eddy.
Laying down in dewey grass. Beautiful...
Ok-now I am really wanting to search for that special somebody. LOL What a beautiful and magical poem. You do a great job bringing your words to life. I was right here laying down in the dewey grass. I hit many buttons.
